With ALMM Inclusion IB Solar Targets Faster Growth

Noida-based Integrated Batteries India Pvt. Ltd. (IB Solar) has achieved the inclusion of its Mono Perc series, up to 545 WP, in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). This endorsement marks a pivotal moment for IB Solar, as it opens up access to multiple opportunities for the firm that started its solar operations back in 2013.

Previously, IB Solar’s Polycrystalline range had received ALMM approval in 2022. Now, with the addition of their Mono Perc Half-cut and Bifacial panels range, IB Solar has a comprehensive selection of solar solutions tailored to meet diverse energy needs. These panels, available in 120, 132, and 144 cells, are all manufactured at IB’s state-of-the-art facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, ensuring top-notch quality and performance. The firm currently has a total manufacturing capacity of 500 MW at the plant. 100 MW has been approved for ALMM.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated, dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of multiple developmental projects related to power, rail and road sectors worth more than Rs 56,000 crores in Adilabad, Telangana today. 

Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said that the land of Adilabad is becoming a witness to development projects related not only to Telangana but to the entire country as more than 30 development projects worth more than Rs 56,000 crores are either being dedicated to the nation or their foundation stones are being laid today. These projects include many projects related to energy, environment sustainability and road connectivity in the state. 

The Prime Minister noted that the Central Government and the state of Telangana have both completed almost 10 years and said that the government is providing all possible assistance to the state to realize the dreams of its citizens. Even today, the Prime Minister informed, the 800 MW capacity NTPC Unit 2 has been inaugurated today which will further boost the electricity generation capacity of Telangana. He also mentioned the completion of electrification of Ambari – Adilabad – Pimpalkhuti rail lines and the foundation stone laying for two major National Highway projects in Adilabad, Bela and Mulugu. The Prime Minister underlined that these modern rail and road projects of today will give momentum to the development of Telangana as well as the entire region, while also reducing travel time, encouraging tourism and creating countless employment opportunities. 

The Prime Minister reiterated the mantra of nation’s development through the development of the states. He said that with a better economy, trust in the country grows and states also benefit from that as they get investment. He mentioned the global buzz around the high growth rate of the Indian economy as India is the only major economy that has grown by 8.4 percent in the last quarter. “With this speed, India will become the world’s third-largest economy”, said the Prime Minister, which will also mean high growth for the economy of Telangana also, he added. 

Recalling the earlier neglect of areas like Telangana, the Prime Minister highlighted the new ways of governance in the last 10 years. Pointing to the more allocation for the development of the state during the last 10 years, the Prime Minister stated, “For us development means the development of the poorest of the poor, development of the dalit, tribals, backwards and deprived.” The Prime Minister said that more than 25 crore people have risen out of poverty and credited the government welfare schemes for the poor. Concluding the address, the Prime Minister stressed that such campaigns will be further amplified in the next 5 years

Governor of Telangana, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri Revantha Reddy and Union Minister, Shri G Kishan Reddy were present on the occasion among others.

Odisha greenlights projects worth ₹4,066.71 crore, aiming for renewable energy expansion

The approved projects, spearheaded by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, are expected to generate 25,525 employment opportunities across twelve districts, marking a pivotal step in Odisha’s journey towards becoming a leading destination for sustainable investment.

New Delhi: Odisha’s State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) has sanctioned an impressive lineup of 22 new projects, committing an investment of 24,066.71 crore across various sectors, with a significant focus on power & renewable energy and green energy equipment.

The approved projects, spearheaded by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, are expected to generate 25,525 employment opportunities across twelve districts, marking a pivotal step in Odisha’s journey towards becoming a leading destination for sustainable investment.

In the realm of Green Energy Equipment, Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Pvt Limited is set to establish an Electrolyser Manufacturing Plant in Khordha, with an investment of 2435 crore, aiming to create 300 job opportunities.

The Power & Renewable Energy sector is witnessing substantial growth, with Hindalco Industries Limited investing 200 crore in solar PV power in Koraput and Tata Steel Limited committing 125.69 crore towards a 22 MW Solar PV Power Plant in Sundergarh.

Additionally, Adani Total Energies Biomass Limited plans to venture into compressed biogas production in Sambalpur with a project cost of 136.50 crore, providing employment to 180 people.

“Odisha continues to see an increase in investments across a variety of industries, encouraging economic growth and job prospects throughout the state. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s strong leadership is transforming Odisha into a desirable global investment destination, and his innovative approach and commitment to sustainable and equitable growth have raised a high bar for the state’s overall development, an official statement said.

NHPC to set up 1200 MW solar park project in UP at Rs 797 crore investment

State-owned NHPC expects to complete the proposed 1,200 MW solar power project entailing an investment of Rs 796.96 crore in Uttar Pradesh in two years, the company said on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid the foundation stone of the solar project through virtual mode. NHPC in an exchange filing stated that the Jalaun Ultra Renewable Energy Power Park at Orai in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh will be developed by its subsidiary, Bundelkhand Saur Urja Ltd, at an investment of Rs 796.96 crore.

“”The park is proposed to be constructed in 24 months from the investment approval and will generate about 2,400 MUs (million units) of electricity every year,” NHPC said.”

NHPC, under the Ministry of Power, is the largest hydropower development organisation in India, with capabilities to undertake all the activities from conceptualisation to commissioning of hydro projects.

The Faridabad-based company has also diversified into solar and wind energy development.
